Item Description
French mid 19th Century spectacular set of three green 'Bourette de Soie' curtains (Circa 1830) with 18th Century silk 'Peitit Point' panels (Circa 1750).
Featuring roses on meandering leafy branches. The pair are lined with linen hessian and the single curtain is unlined.
All have hand beaten iron curtain rings. In a good 'as found' antique condition with some thread loss to the petit point in a few areas. With some water mark staining in places on the bourette silk.
Pair of silk curtains approx 85cm x 303cm each. The two panels of 'Petit Point' each 19cm wide and 20cm wide x 303cm high. One single curtain 105cm x 270cm with 2 panels of 'Petit Point'.
