Late 19Th Century English Bamboo Etagere Leaded Stained Glass Cabinet

A wonderful and rare late 19th Century bamboo etagere/cabinet. Made by English firm W.F Needham. (1888-1901). Circa 1890.

The cabinet has 2 diagonally-set leaded, stained green glass doors, and two open compartments lined with embossed decorative paper. Above is the original central bevelled mirror with open work, flanked by small shelves, the ends of which having turned wooden caps and brass headed nails. The feet have brass caps with the front in a hoof style. Each cap has the maker's stamp.

Sturdy in structure with no woodworm, the cabinet has been cleaned and waxed.

Condition report:

The top has a few marks with use. There is some light damage to the rattan top of the cabinet, to the front left. The back of the rattan has come away a little. There are signs of use to the embossed paper decoration. The left hand glazed cupboard's base has moved with age slightly, revealing a thin opening from the join. This base is still solid, and very useable.

Delivery usually takes 5-10 working days from receipt of payment (may be a little longer in more remote areas).
There is an additional charge of £12 per floor for delivery via the stairs above the first floor, if there is no lift the item can fit in.
