Item Description
This very striking jade coloured cushion is from a vintage handwoven and hand dyed quilt top. The top is made in a thick cotton and has been hand coloured using both a block print and a resist technique. The design is of chrysanthemums which is an auspicious symbol in Chinese culture relating to long life and good fortune. The jade green is very striking and the other colours in the design are pink and pale blue. I've backed the cushion with another indigo handwoven textile from East China and this has a jade green pinstripe in it. I've added jade green tassels and there is a zip fastener and deluxe feather pad.
