Item Description
These cushions are made from a vintage Zhuang minority wedding blanket. I've joined 2 panels together to make the width larger because the looms are only 13" wide. The weaver was very skilled because I've been able to join the pattern at the seam beautifully. The blanket is woven in cotton coloured by indigo and a mix of natural (pink) and synthetic dyes(green and yellow?). I've also used a vintage textile for the backs of the cushions. This is a Han Chinese handwoven textile, also on a narrow loom. It is a striped design in different tones of blue with a green pinstripe running through it. It works beautifully. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
