Item Description
These cushions are made from a vintage Ewe kente cloth from Ghana. The textile was hand woven on a narrow loom about 4" wide and lengths sewn together to made a larger cloth. The cloth has a warm appearance which is created by a reddish tone made from a blue green ground decorated with tiny red floating weft stitches, and weft blocks in yellows, oranges and ochres. I've used the cloth for both sides of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
