Item Description
These striking cushions are made from a vintage Zhuang minority wedding blanket. The blanket dates to the mid C20 and is handloomed in plain and indigo cotton. The blanket are woven on narrow looms, which are around 13" wide so to get a larger cushions I have joined two pieces. The weaver of this blanket waskilled and the pattern matched well at the seams. In have backed the cushions with a vintage handloomed textile from East China. This time by the Han Chinese around the Songjiang area of Shanghai. This again is a lovely deep blue with pinstripes in lighter blue and off white. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
