Item Description
These cushions are made from a vintage handloomed bedcover from East China. The textile is a pink and white checked cotton that was woven on a narrow loom about 18" wide. Several pieces were sewn together to make a bigger piece for the bedcover. The condition is so good, i don't think it was ever used. There are one or two light brown spots, most obvious on the white squares where particles of cotton husk have been trapped and oxidised in the weave. These marks are a characteristic of the artisan nature of the product and should not be seen as a fault. The cushions have a gathered trim and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
