Item Description
This striking cushion is made from one of the elements of a tube skirt from Sumba Indonesia. The textile is hand woven in thick cotton in a technique called pahikung which refers to the supplementary decorative warp. The cotton yarns are dyed with natural colours from the morinda root and a relative of turmeric. Some of the colours are painted on after the weave but they are all lovely and natural. The back of the cushion is a camel coloured heavy linen and there is a zip fastener and deluxe feather pad.
