Item Description
These cushions are made from a mid century Yoruba aso oke. The textile is hand loomed in hand spun cotton on a very narrow loom about 4" wide. The strips were then sewn together to make a larger piece of cloth. The strips have a lovely blue band down the middle, with groups of 3 blue weft bands at intervals. There are also lace holes and supplementary floating weft stitches making a lovely decorative piece. I've made two lumbar shaped cushions, with the aso oke front and back, and added hand made blue tassels. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
