Item Description
A mid 19th century French walnut five drawer commode with extreme elegance. The pristine pale grey marble top is flecked with numerous white veins and markings. The marble top sits neatly above five drawers, a slender top drawer with three deeper drawers below together with a narrower secret drawer within the plinth base. The drawer fronts boast the most exquisite figured grain with carefully matched veneers creating a unique uniform pattern from the top of the chest to the base all housed within a sturdy walnut veneered carcass, free from any faults or splits, the oak lined drawers fit neatly and run smoothly. Each drawer is embellished with two decorative antiqued brass handles together with matching escutcheon. Gorgeous colour with a richly polished surface.
