Item Description
A 19th century French walnut commode. Always carefully chosen for their condition, quality and style, this beautiful walnut commode is of the highest quality. The original marble top is deep charcoal grey with a generous amount of white and grey flecks and veins. Below are five drawers each with the most exquisite veneers to the fronts rising from the very bottom drawer up through to the top creating a unique continuous swirling design. The drawer liners are solid oak, they fit the carcass perfectly and run with gentle ease. The original locks are still in place and have keys for opening. The quality and condition is superb with no horrid splits or faults. Seasoned to a gorgeous golden colour with deep patina. Walnut commode with marble top. France circa 1880.
