Item Description
Vintage original drawing depicting a Life drawing class.
An accomplished work that successfully brings out the character of both the sitters and artists in a life drawing class.
Executed in a free and confident style matching scratchy, sketchy pen work with bold washes which work well together.
Signed and dated 1976 to the lower left and titled ‘The Life Drawing Class’ to the lower right.
Framed and glazed in a white and silver simple painted wooden frame which appears to be of the same period.
The drawing itself is in very good condition, other than a couple of small spots on the upper right-hand corner of the paper there is nothing to report. The frame is also in good order, the glass is free from damage. The wooden frame does have some minor age-related wear but nothing too serious.
Overall measurements: 53cm x 43cm.
