Item Description
An early 19th-century French faience jardiniere from Nevers, decorated with a lively scalloped frieze of lines and strokes all around its body, framed by two large handles and sitting on three fluted feet. The inside of the basin features a spray of flowers in the same palette of yellow, green, and blue. With its rich textures and vibrant colours, this jardiniere makes an excellent planter for bulbs and house plants and a perfect fruit bowl. Or simply displayed on its own, as an attractive centrepiece to add interest to a tabletop. Some chips to the edge of the basin, otherwise excellent condition.
