Item Description
Carved granite benitier or sink, primitive carved stone head as the water spout. Usually found at the entrance of Church or Monastry, to cleanse hands and mark the sign of the cross with Holy Water on their forehead prior to worship. Most likely removed during the Reformation and installed into domestic use since. Brittany France
