Item Description

19th Century Hunting Lodge Wall Mounts

Obtained from an old hunting lodge last month, these 2 typical late 19th Century hand carved game bird trophy mounts, would sit proud either side of an open fireplace. Believed to be a pheasant and 2 geese, these examples are carved from oak and still have their original hanging hooks in place. They show fine detail and craftsmanship and are in completely untouched form. They would make a superb edition to any English country house interior.

Size in inches approx.: H 22” x W 7.5” x D 3”
Period: 1850 - 1880
Material: Oak
Origin: United Kingdom
Condition: Good

Completely solid in structure and form, worn surface that has been waxed to protect the wood, natural cracks to sections of the wood as shown on the reverse, old worn holes have been treated and long gone. Light chips to wood around the edges. It is exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas on this piece. Therefore, we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections / condition is unclear to avoid disappointment when purchasing.
