19th Century English Pharmacists Reverse Painted Gold Gilt Trade Sign

A 19th Century English pharmacists reverse painted gold gilt trade sign. Mounted to a bespoke wooden backing board attached with brass hinges. The sign would have once hung outside a pharmacist to promote services. A highly decorative piece of history.

This is an antique item and well over 100 years old. With signs of aged wear across the glass that include faded, and loss of gold painted detail. There are no breaks or cracks, the backing board is made from pine wood and bespoke to the glass its firmly mounted to with brass clips to hold the front in place.
