Item Description

A charming example of an early 20th century English scratch built folk art child’s tricycle model. Constructed from a metal frame, wooden wheels, handles and leather padded seat. The supporting bolts under the seat have been added later. A lovely little thing with lots of charm and character, likely to have been made as a toy for a bear to sit on. Circa 1930s.

Size in inches: H 13” x W 14” x D 8”

Completely solid in structure and form, with wear of use and age across all surfaces resulting to loss in detail as shown, with aged repairs to sections including the recently added bolts under the seat, the front wheel is a tad wobbly but can be positioned to stand upright as the photos show, The leather seat is aged and has a crackled surface. This is an old, original rusty well used object but is in overall good presentable condition.
