Early 20^th Century Unusual Ceremonial Stick

An unusual early 20^th Century hand carved ceremonial stick or sorts with open palm hand symbol. Throughout history, the open palm has been associated with truth, honesty, and openness. We are unsure of the purpose of this artifact apart from it could have been used ceremonially due its worn surface in key handling positions as shown in the photos provided. Nevertheless, this is one of those items that is unique and would make a great talking point.
