Item Description
A wonderful little oil painting. Nicely executed with lovely colours and composition. Woman Seated In an Interior, Oil on Canvas study by Tom Espley NEAC (1931-2016). Suitably framed in a floating painted wooden frame.
Tom Espley NEAC primarily painted from life, often starting with sketches. He frequently used an instant camera to help with memory. Mainly working in oils, his typical palette included Flake or Titanium White, Genuine Naples Yellow (both pale and dark), Vermillion, light red, Raw Umber, Ultramarine, and Viridian. He also experimented with watercolour and pastel.
