This is an absolutely exquisite antique English portrait painting that dates from the 19th century. Discovered in London this remarkable work of art is an anonymous oil on canvas that is still in its original frame. Painted with a masterful talent with exceptional brush marks this highly romantic portrait is in a great antique condition considering its age. The frame is slightly timeworn which in my opinion gives it an authentic appeal of rare beauty and splendour. The canvas is still on its original wood stretcher measuring about 67 x 55 cm or approximately 26.3 x 21.6 inches. The frame is 86 x 74 x 7 cm or about 33.8 x 29 x 2.7 inches.
