Item Description
This is an extraordinary and extremely rare Victorian English cake stand that dates from the 19th century. Discovered in London this remarkable treasure is made of silver plated copper that through the passage of time ganed a truly outstanding timeworn patina of exceptional beauty and splendour. It measures about 14 x 38 x 38 cm or approximately 5.5 x 15 x 15 inches. Its wonderful size allows it to be used today for caprivating displayes as shown on one of the images in this listing with a large sea coral. It can also hold statues, sculptures, plants, natural curiosities and much more. The stand rests on three feet. All the sides are decorated with amazingly embossed garlands with roses and the bottom edge adorned with grape vines. In lovely antique condition with signs of ageing that make it so stylish, highly decorative and unique today. For the full condition please refer to the images!
