An antique Shanks porcelain sink in Victorian style with a cast iron wall bracket.
With soap dishes in a stylised foliage design, a shaped splash back and timeless design, this elegant sink would make a stunning new addition to a vintage style ensuite or main bathroom in any period property.
In quality condition, the floor standing cast iron bracket is finished in a handsome grey primer making it a practical yet charming piece.

Shanks & Co Ltd was founded by John Shanks in partnership with his brother Andrew in 1851 and quickly became an iconic British company. Based in Paisley, Scotland, together they went on to achieve worldwide success supplying and fitting sanitary ware. Some big names include the Titanic and cruise ships Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
CONDITION REPORT
Good structural condition. Historic repair to the front left of the bracket. Taps pictured are not included. The present plug waste and chain would benefit from replacement or polishing. Small hairline to the front right corner of the basin in the moulded edge. Moderate wear to the basin. There are some small rust spots in the bowl.
