Item Description
A large antique French walnut fire surround dating to circa 1850. Its shaped frieze displaying handcarved foliage, highlighted by its deep back and dark finish; features that would bring allure and beauty to any period or modern property.
This deep, large-scale fireplace has a simple yet elegant design with impressive proportions and a handsome patina.
The front dates to the late 18th century, circa 1780, then was later adapted in the mid 19th century to become deeper.

CONDITION REPORT
Good structural condition. If required the depth could be reduced to 42.5cm (16.73in). Originally fitted around sides of chimney breast - infill piece added to back.
