Item Description
Beautiful 18th.c. Dutch oak linen press or wardrobe c.1780. Impressively proportioned, standing over eight feet tall. Large two door cupboard top fitted inside with shelves and two rows of drawers. Internal depth 18", could be converted for hanging space if preferred. Over a bombe shaped base with two short and two long drawers of graduated height. Shapely moulded cornice carved with a basket of flowers at the centre. Shaped doors with conforming panels within raised mouldings. Fluted detail to the front corners of the cabinet top and bottom. Curving drawer fronts and a shaped apron below to the front and sides. Large original brass handles featuring a Classical ram's head motif also repeated on the cupboard escutcheons. Solid oak sides, drawer linings and back panels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Cupboard key supplied.
Note for delivery the cornice can be removed and the cupboard section dissembles into flat pieces.
